What information do we collect?
We collect and process personal data about you when you:
fill in your details on our site to apply for the Khadijah Mellah Scholarship
Register online, request information or submit an application through our website or complete and email in a printed application form
Contact us by phone, post, email, text message or in person through a member of our team.
otherwise provide your details to us by phone, e-mail or in writing.
The information you give us may include any or all of the following: your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, date of birth and gender. We might also need health information to help support our applicants who have a vulnerability.
What we do with your information?
When you contact us or visit our website, your personal information is stored securely and processed fairly as required by the General Data Protection Regulation. We use that information to answer your requests for information and to process your applications for The Khadijah Mellah Scholarship.
Who has access to your information?
We share certain personal information with third parties, such as our partners, The British Racing School and Pony Racing Authority in order to process your applications and for them to be able to deliver our programmes and match successful candidates with work experience yards. These organisations must comply strictly with our privacy policies that prohibit the use of personal data for their own business purposes. We share only such elements of any information we hold that need to be shared to achieve the aim. We will not share your information with other organisations (unless we are required to do so by law).
How long do we keep your information?
Your information will be held on our systems for as long as is necessary to comply with legal requirements, to answer your requests and to maintain a dialogue with those individuals who remain interested in participating in one of the Academy’s programmes. We will keep your data on file for 18 months and will only use it to contact you regarding future opportunities at The Riding A Dream Academy and/or related partners. After the 18 months has passed, we will erase your data from our system.
I’d like my information removed
You can ask us to delete an individual application and remove the personal data entered on your application form at any point before it is submitted. You may contact us to withdraw a submitted application at any time but your personal data will continue to be held on our systems (as described above).
When will you contact me?
We will only contact or send information about us to those people who have given us permission to do so and you can change these preferences at any time by informing us what you wish to change. If you submit an application to The Riding A Dream Academy we will contact you by the most appropriate means to follow-up and process your application.
Advice for parents and carers
The privacy and security of young people interested in The Riding A Dream Academy and their personal data is very important to us. We ask everyone under 18 years to confirm that they have spoken to a parent/carer about their interest in The Riding A Dream Academy and obtained their permission before applying to us. We require anyone under 18 to provide a signed consent form from a parent/carer before they attend one of our programmes.
You can ask us to change or complete any inaccurate or incomplete personal information held about you; as us not to contact you again and or asked to be removed from our records by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org
